Hello, my name is Adrian Bao and I am a software enthusiast who enjoys developing innovative solutions in the ever-growing industry of Computer Science. My passion for developing software extends from leisure programming of personal projects to professional development of highly scalable web services in public, private and hybrid cloud environments.

As a self-motivated learner eager to grasp new ideas, I have gained experience using a wide-variety of technologies and languages including proficiencies in Python, Go and Java to develop a wide array of web services, observability and automation tools, and single page applications.

Previously a Lead Software Engineer at State Farm within the Customer Auto Policy Shopping space where I led various migrations to AWS and delivered a number of features across the auto policy shopping flow. Prior to that, I was a Software Development Engineer II at Amazon working to enhance the seller's experience on Seller Central & Seller Forums. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science. Additionally, My past experiences include SWE Internships at CyVerse, Garmin, & Amazon where I have been able to explore developing for Platforms as a Service (PaaS), Event-driven architectures orchestrated with Kubernetes, and full scale Content Management Systems to support concurrent & high volume traffic.

My goal as a professional developer is to provide comprehensive solutions to some of technologies most complex problems with elegant and efficient code. Breaking down large complicated problems into smaller, more manageable tasks to design, develop and produce a software application is where the true satisfaction lies within Software Development. As a developer, I strive to maintain elegance, efficiency, innovation, and creativity in the software that I write and always aim to provide a positive contribution to any project that I may work on.
